Meet The Team

Out team prides itself on authentic and traditional Spanish cooking methods, with all of the Spanish ingredients shipped directly from our artisan producers in Spain. Meat and fish are sourced locally: our fish comes directly from Cornwall every night and our meat from some of the finest Warwickshire and Gloucestershire farms. 

We cook with extra virgin olive oil, no refined oils, no rapeseed oils or substitutes. We are first a restaurant and then a business: we never cut corners on the basic raw ingredients because we believe in healthy eating with amazing taste. Our ancestors had it right.

Alex G

Restaurant Owner

Alex has spent most of his life in Spain and he has family links going back generations. One of his aunts is even called Rosalia Carmen, you can't get more Spanish than that. Passionate about great food and wine, Alex is a proponent of the Mediterranean diet. 


Johnny D

Restaurant Chef

Jonny is originally from the Canary Islands. Growing up he was fascinated by the smells and tastes of his grandmother’s kitchen. Cooking is in his DNA and he is a major proponent of the clean cooking concept that is Tasca Dali’s ethos. A very talented young chef.

Jorge T

Tasca Dali General Manager 

Originally from Barcelona, Jorge has an incredible natural palate for wine and food. A key part of the founding of Tasca Dali, Jorge worked with Alex 16 hours a day back when they started with both of them doing the cooking, cleaning and serving.  Jorge is also a gifted sportsman, taking part in duathlons in his hometown and also a keen mountaineer. If you get lost in the mountains, be sure to call him and he shall appear with some amazing Garnacha, Spanish brandy and a warming chorizo roll!

Rafa L

Rafael is a multi-talented individual, equally at home in the kitchen as on the floor serving. His artistic flair comes across in everything he does. With Latin roots, Rafa joins us from the Canary Islands and he is a big fan of ceviche, wood smoked meats and Japanese cuisine in the kitchen as well as being an amateur photographer.

The youngest member of our team, Danni is a paella expert by day and at night he has been known to make music videos and sing. Another multi-talented individual, Danni is passionate about cooking and loves being part of the Tasca team. 



To let everyone enjoy the benefits of the healthy Mediterranean diet through our five course tasting menu with all allergies and dietary preferences being catered for. It is our mission to help all our customers eat great tasting clean food: vegetarians and vegans are part of our mission as is anyone else with any dietary preference: the Mediterranean is a treasure trove for vegetable based dishes.


To offer an unsurpassed taste of traditional Spanish cuisine by employing the time-trusted methods and techniques of our ancestors and through our use of the most artisan ingredients from Spain the freshest locally procured vegetables, meat and fish with no additives, colourings or artificial flavourings.
